about

A few things about these songs and hopefully this paints the picture of why everything is broken up in the manner it has been. I wrote these songs, specifically these in 2020, with the intention they were for jason to sing to. No shade on a dude that we didn't but it also didn't feel right to not put them out under this banner. I tried to sing to some of these but it felt wrong. In my head these were all made for someone in particular and their voice so anything but their voice is not right. Also to that point to not point these out is a bit of a shame as I feel they're all really great materially. That said I always felt like I'd go back once the vocals were there and do some twiddly bits for leads and such to boost his vocals. So these very much as still demoy in a way even down to the song titles which are just things I heard or was thinking about at the time. Why 1 and 2? Well because these were all done over that period of time whereas the others are a bit more left over from when I started to write or had carved out songs for myself. Some songs from this era did make it to the other releases but that was just stuff I had sort of carved out for me. Oblvilion being the example followed by 18.
