I just want to feel the love I miss the days you and I had I think of you from time to time We don’t want to be here at all Can we just go back To when I didn’t disappoint And I don’t want to replace you No-one wants to be replaced Driving out tonight alone Dreaming of the times we that had I turn to the other seat and reach out Hoping you would appear there Can we just go back To when I didn’t disappoint And I don’t want to replace you No-one wants to be replaced All those mistakes we made We can forgive them too All those mistakes we made Are worth forgiving too

about

Mistakes is a lead song from the upcoming album called "Lifting Off The Ground". It's a song that I dusted off and reimagined. It kind of all came to me melody wise while driving one day. Went home and immediately recorded it. It's one of the few instances I didn't spend months working on and just fell out of the sky so to speak. Wish more were like that but it was a cool feeling to experience.

I Never Saw The Stone Roses Live is a one shot song on bass and guitar where I did one long take. Please know that's not some humble brag because this is far from anything technically special. Really It was kind of this late night let me just jam on something like the old days moment with this new pedal I have and see what all I do now but is like the past.

For context going back in time to when I had no-one to jam and an actual vibrant set of drum patterns to play along with on a computer I would play along side certain bands that had these long instrumental sections such as The Stone Roses, The Verve, American Analog Set or Explosions in the Sky to name a few. On guitar and also bass which is how I developed a lot of the ways I play on both.

Why the title? I dunno. I'm still salty The Roses played only one East Coast date where I was working that day then the next day too so I couldn't go plus even if I was off I was so poor at the time I couldn't even afford to see my favorite band ever.
