The first half of these is material we couldn't polish (alibi) but couldn't fit it (take us home) or a variation of songs or just material I couldn't quite finish up but felt finished (manchaca). Faling down and then Fade Away were the songs I first sent to jason when I started writing again so they feel right being here in these forms as they are. Heavenly was the one I did one night in 2018 wherein I said I really need to put out this material in my head and hyper focused on getting above water financially to afford a real computer to do this all on. It's got my old alexis midi verb and quadraverb sound such as the later demos do but is still kind of current sounding. It's the middle song. I did it in 2019 though using the old tracks. Northern town also was done at that time but I've lost the demo so you've got the early form of me working on it here.

The later half of this album are the songs I was listening to over the years that made me say I really should finishing up what I started but when I went back to redo them other songs popped out. In a way I feel like just putting them out is right - they were on myspace and stuff previously - but they're more here for you just to go oh that's why he wanted to keep going.

These are all a bit rough around the edges but I think in a way worth hearing to appreciate what came later.
